I’m the husband to one, father to four, and currently pastor a unique congregation at Gateway Church. If you’re wanting to know a little more about me, what I’m thinking about, what I’m reading, my favorite pancake recipes or maybe just want to say hello, you’re in the right place.
I could describe myself as a Jesus following-charismatic-ecumenical-prophetic-contemplative-mystic, but then you’d probably not want to talk to me anymore, so I won’t. A few more things to know…
This Website
Let’s just get this out of the way now. I don’t have this website because I think I am so special that everyone would want to know what I think or care about what I’m doing. I have it because I have had it for almost 20 years and it is a place that I keep things I don’t want to forget… That said, I have also included things that I think others will enjoy because I enjoy them.
Gateway Church
I have the honor of serving as a Pastor at Gateway Church under Senior Pastor Robert Morris. Gateway’s vision is to see people saved, healed, set free, discipled, equipped, empowered and serving. If you’re ever in the DFW area, and you’re looking for a church centered on WORSHIP and the PRESENCE OF GOD, Gateway Church is the place for you!
Coffield Prison
In 2019 Gateway Church launched our first prison campus at Coffield Prison, Texas’ largest maximum security prison. Since we launched, I have had the honor of leading this campus and the men God is bringing to our congregation.
Reading
I get asked a lot about what I am reading, so if you’re interested in that, you can follow along on Goodreads. You can also check out my go-to list of books I frequently recommend and read a few thoughts about how/what I read and when.
Writing
I have a lot of thoughts on a lot of different things, most of which are better kept to myself. (This was a hard learned lesson) But, if any of them do slip out they will be here.
Pancakes
I make pancakes almost every Saturday for my kids. I have been doing this since my oldest was three years old. Here is a list of my favorite recipes, with a few random non-pancake recipes thrown in.

You can find me on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, though I tend to purge these accounts every once in a while so there might not be much to see. I don’t post anymore. The last thing you need is another person spouting off their opinion. Do your mental health a favor and take a break from social media.
