Today is the first day of what I am calling, “Kid Friday”. Donuts with Audrey and then back to back lunches at the school.

Lunch at school with these two today. It’s been almost 2 years since I’ve done this because of lockdown.

This is my wife’s Aunt and Uncle Jerry & Connie. They recently found out Connie has a brain tumor and the doctors don’t have much hope or given her much time. She loves the Lord and we are believing for a miracle, and while we pray and wait, Jerry and Connie will do all they can. Will you do me a favor and 1) be praying for Connie and 2) will you help support them financially? Anything we raise will go a long way in helping with bills and quality of life as they battle through this. The link is in the bio.

First day of school! The kids will have a great year but I’m not sure who is more bummed summer break is over, them or me. If it were up to me we would hang out every day all day!

Last day of summer break fishing before work. Gonna miss all this time with them when school starts tomorrow.

He started off strong… ended by falling asleep and leaving his dad to tie the Kayaks together and tow him back across the lake.

Perfect day to be on the water… even better to have Cam out on his first time!

For some reason there are hundreds of baby frogs that shows up in our backyard this week. The kids are trying to save as many as they can before I mow.

Look who got her first points today in her basketball game and it happened to be the game winner!

After spending the day in prison I’m home in time for some night basketball with our new Led rim and ball. (Don’t judge our skills)

It’s been called many things, the pandemic beard, the prophets beard, the homeless escape convict beard... but all I called it was mine. Well, apparently it was time to come back to reality. So, by unpopular opinion, the trimmers did their work. I feel like less of a man, my older kids agree they prefer it long. (Basically, they like my face covered. But alas, I’m not bothered, I just started regrowing it. :)

Last night I asked this girl what we were going to do tomorrow while Mom’s gone, she said feed the ducks... which I’m not sure she is ever done in her life... so, today we are feeding ducks.

Dylan did a great job tonight! 1st place Vault, First Place Bars, 2nd Place Floor and 1st place All Around!

It was good seeing @charliemackesy on the @todayshow this morning. He has been a hero of kindness & grace since I met him years ago @htbchurch in London. His book is amazing and has become one of my favorites. You need to buy it if you haven’t yet.

We built a snowman... and by “we”, I mean that all the family came out, got cold and went inside leaving me to build a snowman. Also, beard froze.

This is my daughter @reesereads. Today she is 15. I got her this drink to celebrate. I hope she likes it, because it’s all she’s getting from me. I do not approve of her growing up.

Read this incredible book today by @Tish_H_Warren and I highly recommend it. It was so good.

Just finished this book and I am blown away. The last chapter alone covering his thoughts on how Christianity was used by evil men to justify slavery is enough to make you want to cry.

My daughter passed out asleep with her new sleep mask... cute but it freaked me out when I walked past her room!

I can’t decide if they want us to give God a try or if they want God to give a little more effort.

Since I still have my “COVID Cough” this is how we did our @gatewaynrh staff Christmas lunch. Did not know I was the only one zooming in and that I would be on the screens like the wizard of Oz.

Very excited that this came in today! This is a great book by a great friend @mattberrywriter. I’ve already read it once but I had to have an official copy. You won’t regret spending time with this one.

Just over a year ago, this group here were strangers spread across the county and around the world. Today, they have become one of the greatest gifts God has ever given me. It is an amazing thing when God connects you to your “tribe”. And this year was just the beginning.

Dave & Busters with Cameron’s crew to celebrate his birthday. Definitely the loudest car ride I have ever experienced.
